Hey guys,
I just got a 333Mhz iMac! I'd been contemplating getting a G3 upgrade card for my aging 7500/200 system for quite some time, since I'm determined to wait 'til the G4's come out to replace this system fully. Julie (my wife) was slated to get my 7500 at that time, but it would already be fairly obsolete since it's not supposed to run OS X consumer (will run OS X Server, though.
Looked around on the net and saw lotsa great deals on G3 upgrades, but to my chagrin they were almost all just for the ZIF upgrades. The Processor slot upgrades were a minimum of about $240 for a 233Mhz G3. $500 and up for 300Mhz. So I started looking into the iMacs and found that if I sell my system for the going rate on eBay, the upgrade cost is only about the same as getting a 300Mhz card and I have a faster system, faster modem, and more of a future (with those sexy USB ports).
Yesterday I got permission from the financial department (Julie) and ordered the system and 128Mb extra ram. I'm typing this message on this sweet little system right now.

Of note:
The screen is super bright! I love it.
The screen's not quite as sharp as the Sony 15sf trinitron, but it doesn't have the color distortion in the corners at all (was only a minor annoyance on the Sony and only shows up when you have orange or purple stuff up there).
Everything's zippier, even though it's only running 8.5.1 so far.

Cool system!
