Bob was kind enough to e-mail me a suggestion to use the Supra settings. I chose the 56k one and tried to delete the "1-901-" from the phone number, also. The "OK" button still just beeped! Trying to use the whole phone number just caused a crash of TF (with no alerts!).
Was finally able to get things to work by changing the Hardware Control setting and matching the Port speed to what I had already established in GearBox/Mindspring/Modem CP. One of those two itmes must have done the trick as the "OK" button liked what was done and here I am!
One of the problems of this 400mhz monster is that the electrons move way too fast to be monitored! ;-)
