<<<We had facilities to hook up as many macs to the ethernet network as would have fit into my house. Brian Akey who I work with brought a good size hub so we could hook up. It is nice being able to share resources.

One of the main things I learned at the meeting was that Claris Homepage will be the future Mac HTML program. It has most all of the features I have dreamed about, and this is only a beta. You will see more of this especially when I start to work on my pages again.>>>

Do you think your friends will be able to make it to the next meeting (hopefully with more members present!)? I'd really love to see a nice ethernet network being set up. There are pretty cheap hubs out there, too, for smaller networks.

I like Claris Homepage a lot. It's probably the best of the HTML WYSIWYG editors that I've used (I haven't used GoLive or the shareware editor everyone raves about, though). The only problems I have with it are that when you're working with frames, it doesn't display the actual frame content (maybe this is something I've done wrong?), and when it does the actual coding, it puts in a LOT of extraneous, unnecessary text, inflating the files' sizes around 5% (more for smaller pages). The formatting is also somewhat weird when you look at it in a text editor, which makes it annoying to make revisions in a regular text editor.
Overall, though, it's still a great program, especially if you're doing a lot of initial coding. Really speeds up a lot of things.
