Subject: VMUGM Meeting March 16 at Jason
Date:Sat, February 28, 1998 12:09 PM

Guys & Gals:

The March VMUGM meeting is upon us!

The meeting will be held starting at 1:00pm on Sunday, March 16 and will last until around 5 or so (longer if people want to stay).

For those interested in coming, I plan to offer a demonstration of Photoshop 4.0, using some of the new graphics I'm working on for both SilverNet and Operator Headgap BBS. If a bunch of people including Daryl and Bob come, we can have a fun time making crazy graphics for the BBS. I also have some photoshop plug-ins that I can show for those of you who are interested.

Other possibilities for this meeting include:
1. Future plans and possibilities for the group.
2. Do we want to resurrect the electronic newsletter?
3. Whoever brings the most recently printed articles mentioning Apple without the words "struggling," "beleaguered," "impending death," "aged" or "antiquated operating system," "failure," or "Microsoft" and yet still managing to say something GOOD about the company wins a free prize to be announced at a later date.
4. Networked games is an option if people bring their systems (although I don't think I have quite the same amount of space as Daryl does for systems, so let me know if you're planning on bringing yours). I'll be happy to accomodate!
5. I've recently started playing Magic: the Gathering. If you want to play, I'm up for it :)
6. Anything else people can think of.

People should bring drinks and or chips or other snack food if they want.

Directions to my house:

From 1-240:
1. Go around I-240 until you get to I-40 East (to Nashville)
2. Get on I-40 East.
3. The first exit will be Sycamore View Road (there will be a Wal-Mart and Celebration Station on the Right). Take this exit and go north (away from the Wal-Mart).
4. At the bottom of the off-ramp, there is a light. Take a left at the light (go under the interstate after the light)
5. There is a traffic signal at Shelby Oaks Dr. Go straight through this.
6. Get in the right-most lane after the first traffic signal.
7. The next set of lights is Summer Ave. If you are in the right lane, you will be forced to turn right onto Summer. If you aren't in the right lane. Get in the right lane so you can turn right onto Summer Ave.
8. About 1-1.5 miles down Summer (it's a fairly short distance) there is a traffic signal at the intersection of Raleigh-Lagrange (it's the 1st light after you get on Summer).
9. Take a LEFT onto Raleigh-Lagrange.
10. About 200 yards down Ral-Lagrange, turn RIGHT onto Woodfield Park (it's the first right)
11. Go to the end of the street. Take a left onto Mangum.
12. Take a left onto Oldfield (about 50 yards down Mangum).
13. My house is on the Right (2235): Tan with white trim and turquoise shutters. There is a single tree in the front yard. There will be a champaigne Ford Explorer parked in front.

From Germantown:
1. Go down 1-40 like you're headed to Midtown.
2. Turn off at exit 12 (Sycamore view) and go right.
3. You come to a light at Shelby Oaks Dr.
4. Follow the instructions from #5 above.

If you have any further questions, drop me a line.
