In case anyone else was having this problem with the new G3 ATI Rage Graphics Accelerator while in Pagemaker6.5. Here is the solution Adobe has suggested.
I hope this helps some one. Cristy

If you see multiple bounding boxes when you make a marquee selection, update the ATI Rage 128 Graphics Accelerator
extension to version 3.8 or later.
1. Download the ATI Rage 128 update Version:1.0 from Apple's Web site at
http://asu.info.apple.com/swupdates.nsf/artnum/n11262.
2. Follow the installation instructions provided on the Web site.

To check what version of the ATI Rage 128 Graphics Accelerator you have:
1. Select the ATI Graphics Accelerator extension in System Folder:Extensions.
2. Choose Get Info from the File menu.

Additional Information

The ATI Rage 128 Graphics Accelerator, which is included with Apple's blue-and-white G3 computers, increases display
performance, but also causes redraw problems in PageMaker 6.x.

The ATI RAGE 128 update 1.0 from Apple updates the ATI Graphics Accelerator from v.3.7.9 to v.3.8. The files included in
this update fix the bounding box problems in PageMaker 6.5x. However, the issues with text blocks are not fixed in this
update.
