I always ask them to bid on all the items that I am purchasing and let them know they are bidding against each other. Most of the time you can save 5 to 10%. I stopped buying from Mac Mall since they charge taxes in Tennessee. I can't afford the 8 upcharge.

I am excited that the 7600 has the 120 mhz 604. I have a Powerwave Tower with the same processor and they really kick!>>>

Wow, congrats! Looks like the Wang's are treating you well! I personally would be very tempted to go with the Power clones. They have really fast machines, and good prices. The only reservation I have about them is whether or not their processor upgrade cards will ever get used. I've not seen any processor upgrade options for their older machines, so what's the deal? It'd be GREAT if they used the same card types as Apple (which would make sense since they kinda co-developed their machines)...Anyone know if this is the case?

Computers are increasing in speed and apps are gulping speed at such a rate that computers are almost becoming "disposable"...especially in the PC clone world...if you buy something at a halfway decent price, it's obsolete by the next time Christmas rolls around. It'll probably get similar to this in the Mac world soon. I remember when the IIci was a hot machine for about 5 years....
