The file manager will be native, but it won't be much faster than today's 68k manager. Poor algorithms I guess.

Well, given their current development schedule, I think the file manager should see quite a speed improvement. Not that most folks would notice it, doing ordinary tasks, but it should be helpful. Hopefully they'll do the right thing, and make the file manager routines not only faster, but more robust too.
