Daryl,
<<<Well as you know my system will probably get smaller. Gonna sell some things from SilverNET. Haven't completely decided what yet. Need a 2x CD Rom : ) I would actually like to sell the LC III (Performa 450) but so far my wife wants to keep it for my daughter. I'll have to do some more discussing about that : ) My feeling is right now she can use the PPC 6110CD for her school work and when she gets into college than we could consider buying a more update Mac for the home and giving her the PPC 6110CD or vise-versa. From my understanding it will run Copland (Mac OS 8) in the future and the LC III will not.
Anyway have to go make a list of things to sell from SilverNET : )>>>

Heck, as cheap as the Mac clones are, you ought to really consider getting one of those machines for your family's use and another for your daughter. The 180Mhz PowerBase is only $1500, but runs noticeably faster than my 7500/100 (which is respectible, by most measures), and the $2200 240Mhz version is about the same speed as a 150Mhz 604-based machine (but much cheaper and with faster graphics!). I think these would be great machines as household servers or even internet servers (for an internet BBS, for your or Op Headgap), etc. I could personally just set the thing for rendering and let it render animations for days on end. Joy!

Still, for a mere $1500, you get the power of a 120-133Mhz 604-based system, with faster graphics than an 8500 and an upgradeable processor card (so you can replace the 603e with a 604e or dual 603e's or dual 604e's in the future). You could buy a whole system w/ 15" monitor for <$1900. You'd be hard pressed to beat this, even in the PC world.
