Good to hear from you again Bill. Where have you been?

Anyway, if you're bumping into your RAM limit frequently, then adding more RAM will increase both stability and speed. It you don't use most of the physical memory you have now then upgrading isn't worth the money.

There are limits to stability offered by RAM. No matter how much free RAM my system has, it will crash like crazy sometimes.

In general, you can never have enough RAM or hard disk space. RAM is cheap right now, so getting about 8-32 meg. more isn't a big deal ($50 - $200).

I don't suggest getting a product like RAM Doubler. I've used it a few times, and I'm not impressed. It makes my system slightly more unstable (I can't have that), and it slows my video down over %25 (the 7200's built-in graphics accelerator chip doesn't like file-mapping). Plus, you can get an 8 meg. SIMM cheaper than RAM Doubler.
