<<Hope your new upgrade card and Linux (sp?) worked well Jason!
Nice hearing from you again Bill!
What are these WDEF and the other program Jason? And where are they?>>

Well, I got Linux itself installed, but couldn't get X-Windows working (this is the GUI component of Unix that can somewhat make it tolerable). It kept giving me errors stating that it could not connect to an X-server. Oh well. I'm not a Unix guru, so I have no idea how to fix it.

As far as the upgrade card....it's working great! Love it! 30-40% speed boost for $99 is hard to beat!

Regarding the PowerPC Interrupt extension - this is an extension that reduces the number of crashes on PPC systems. I'm not sure of the specifics, but it works. I have no idea where to get it other than to go to WWW.Macintouch.com and do a search for PowerPC interrupt. It'll give you a URL to download.

WDEF Leopard is a control panel which makes it impossible for programs to write to the WDEF resources of applications (which is apparently yet another common cause of crashes). Between these two utilities and 7.5.5, I hardly ever crash (other than from flakey programs).
