This tidbit is from:

<Phil.Russell@cmug.com>

Corvallis MUG is one of only 34 MUGs that the Apple Tour will visit this
summer. This is a chance for all Oregonians interested in the Macintosh
to hear this unique presentation.

The meeting will be held at the LaSells Stewart Center in the Austin
Auditorium (800 seats) .

Apple will be laying out the Hardware and Mac OS Roadmap for user group
members and in particular sharing the screaming new PowerBook G3s and the
most dramatically new Macintosh since the original: the iMac. [note: CMUG
has not been guaranteed the physical presence of an iMac, YET].

Come and find out what OS X will be like for end users and why developers
are already excited about this new strategy.

The presentation is scheduled for about one hour plus we are anticipating
at least a 30 minute Q&A session following the presentation. This is a
unique opportunity to get answers straight from one of the horse's
mouths. Come and take advantage of it. And bring a friend. Bring two
friends. Bring more if you have them :)

Special invitations to the members of the Eugene, Newport and Salem MUGs
to join us have already been made. We have plenty of room.

There will be promotional materials and Apple balloons given away. Think
Different posters, iMac T-shirts, and three Think Different watches will
be raffled.

This announcement is from:

<Icnfactory@aol.com>

The web's favorite place for enhancing your Mac just got bigger and
better. The Iconfactory is proud to announce the opening of our all new
web site. The site has been redesigned from the ground up using the
premiere Macintosh html editor CyberStudio, to give the user quick and
easy access to the ever growing amount of content at the Iconfactory. The
Iconfactory now boasts over 1,000 of the highest quality freeware icons
available for the Mac platform today.

Along with the new site, we're pleased to announce the release of
IconDropper 3.0. The new IconDropper makes setting custom icons even
easier through increased icon organization similar to the Mac's finder.
The new interface, along with contextual menus and a new statistics
feature (which tells you how many icons you have and how much file space
they use) is a tremendous addition to the application macaddicts
everywhere have been praising.

Lastly, with the expansion of the web site comes the expansion of our
team. We're happy to have Dave Brasgalla, of the Pixelhaus, join the
Iconfactory family of icon artists and programmers. Dave brings with him
unmatched talent in the field of design and icon creation. His addition
means even more cool, free icons in the months to come, and a few new
surprises as well.

The foreman and the rest of the workers invite you to visit the
Iconfactory <http://www.iconfactory.com> today and experience what all
the hoopla is about!
