Subject: Tidbit - Got a Complaint? Go Tell It to Steve....

This tidbit is from:

The Digital Guy <mailto:evangelist@apple.com>

From MacCentral Online <http://www.maccentral.com>:

Apple has started a "Complaints? Tell Steve Jobs" feedback page at:

<http://survey.info.apple.com/feedback/feedback.qry?function=complaint>

"If you're not happy, we're not happy," says the page. "Please tell
us what the problem is, and we'll try to help. Fill out the form
below and click 'Tell Steve Jobs.' We'll try to get back to you
quickly. It may be that we can best work with you over the phone, so
please be sure to include a phone number at which we can reach you."

Apple also says that questions of a technical nature should still be
directed to the Tech Exchange boards, or to their technical support
help line at 800-500-7078.

I use PowerMenu and like it very much.

_________

FEBRUARY 8TH, 1999

PowerMenu v2.2.3 was released today. The new version corrects a startup
bug and greatly accelerates the drawing of custom icons under MacOS 8.5.

PowerMenu v2.2.3 can be downloaded immediately from

http://www.kagi.com/authors/marka/

The author can be reached at marka@kagi.com.

ABOUT POWERMENU

PowerMenu is a utility that adds powerful commands to your contextual
menu if you are running MacOS 8 or better. If you are running the older
Macintosh System 7, PowerMenu adds a contextual menu to your system so
you can still use this innovative feature without upgrading to MacOS 8.

PowerMenu's contextual menu commands let you do all these operations with
a single click:

- - Open files straight into any application. If the application you want
to use isn't running, PowerMenu automatically launches it for you

- - Move, copy or make an alias of files straight into target folders of
your choosing

- - Quickly open commonly used files or launch any application

PowerMenu also provides these handy features:

- - "File Copy and Paste", a unique feature that makes manipulating files
much easier. With File Copy and Paste, you can "pick up" files and "drop"
them into another folder without dragging and dropping. You can even
"gather" many files from different locations and copy or move them all to
a single target folder with just a few clicks or keystrokes!

- - A pop-up menu, accessible from any application, that lets you quickly
open or launch your commonly used files and applications with a single
click.

PowerMenu gets the job done faster with:

- - Fully hierarchical menus to allow you to group items into submenus for
even faster access - Multithreaded operation; PowerMenu rebuilds your
menus in the background while you work, so even very large menus appear
instantly

- - Takes full advantage of MacOS 8 features, but is still fully compatible
with System 7!

PowerMenu has been around since well before MacOS 8, providing a
Contextual Menu to System 7 users. Now, under MacOS 8.x, PowerMenu adds
its unique commands to the Finder's Contextual Menu for seamless
integration. Of course, PowerMenu still works great under System 7, even
providing Finder commands like Open, Print, Delete, etc. on a Contextual
Menu, just like MacOS 8.x.

PowerMenu is heavily customizable and is optimized for both Macintosh and
Power Macintosh computers, meaning it will run at full speed on whatever
model you use. PowerMenu requires MacOS 8.x, System 7.5.x, or System
7.1.x with the Scriptable Finder installed. PowerMenu is $15US shareware.
