Bob, haven't had a chance to tell you: the next day after the AppleCore meeting, my harddrive crashed bigtime. Very strange. It worked fine all day until after lunch. I decided to rebuild the desktop files because GoLive had a strange icon that replaced the original. I begin to rebuild. First rebuilt the the boot drive, the one with 8.6 on it, then I began the rebuild on my second drive. I went to a meeting. When I came back my screen was dark with no drive noise. I restarted the Mac and got the dreaded disk with a ?. I ran disk FirstAid but it didn't "see drive 1 (drive 2 has no system). After that I tried Norton Utilities. It finally "saw" the drive but said it was unrecognizable (it is Apple formatted with the latest driver). I began to seriously panic. My backups were not up to date. I went home that day with a heavy heart. Next morning, I called our Mac tech person. She was going to try TechTool Pro but she couldn't located it that morning. On a whim, she decided to rebuild the desktop again. Voila. Drive 1 showed up just fine and I have had no trouble since. I am backed up a little better. The odd thing is that the crash occurred while rebuilding drive 2 but drive 1 is the one that became corrupted.
