Good! It's about time those 1.44 meggers are out the door. These days, they're just too small and too slow for the huge files people are using now. The problem is deciding on a standard....in my opinion, the standard should be the CD-Rom for installations. It has advantages for developers (harder to copy, VERY cheap to produce) and it's consistent across all platforms and ubiquitous. Removable storage is still evolving too much to come up with a "standard" right now (although you can bet Iomega will push it's Zip as standard). If the Zip becomes standard, I'll be pissed. To me, the Zip is much like Microsoft....it's not the best in the field (it's one of the worst, when compared to Syquest ez230 and the MO's), but it's a little bit cheaper and MUCH more widely advertised, so it wins. Bad deal.
