Just wanted to give notice to y'all within travel distances that we've got a local area gamer group (LAGG, actually) that are planning LAN parties every other month.
The last GibFest was on Feb. 24 beginning at 4 pm and ran through the 25th at 6 am in a very large room at the AgriCenter in East Memphis.
Representatives were there from at least five different clans, including several from [SREKUF].
At least 50 people came with their computers, but I was the only Mac. I even managed to win one Unreal Tournament FFA game -- I couldn't believe it.
Servers running included two Quake 3 Arena servers, one for Unreal Tournament, one for Age of Empires, StarCraft, and Half Life Counter Strike. At any given time, about half the people there were playing Counter Strike...
