for the MessagePad 2000:

Note: This version of the Newton operating system is on the
MessagePad 2100.

Description:
This package contains the latest System Update for MessagePad 2000.
All customers should load this package onto their Newton MessagePad
2000. One of the features of this update is that you can now recenter
the contrast slider by setting a different middle point. This allows
you to refine the standard contrast range.

Instructions:
This software consists of a self-extracting archive. To use, download
it to your hard drive and then double-click it to decompress the
software.

NEW 30547 Apple Displays 1.6: Read Me

Requires:
A PowerPC-based Mac OS computer and a U.S. English version of System
7.5.x, Mac OS 7.6.x, 8.0 or 8.1. If you are using a 68040-based Mac
OS computer, please use Apple Displays version 1.5.5.

Description:
The Apple Displays Software version 1.6 can be used by all Apple
monitors, including ColorSync Displays and other Multiple Scan
monitors. This version adds support for the Apple Studio Display.

Notes:

1) The PowerBook 1400, PowerBook Duo 2300, PowerBook 3400 and
PowerBook 5300 are not compatible with the Apple Studio Display. See
your manual for more information on compatibility.

2) The Radius ThunderColor 30/1600 and Apple 24AC video cards are not
compatible with the Apple Studio Display. Please refer to the
documentation included with this software for complete details.

Instructions:
This software consists of a Disk Copy NDIF (New Disk Image Format)
compressed image, which requires Disk Copy 6.1.3 or later to use.
Download this software to your hard drive and then double-click it to
use it. Disk Copy is available in the Utilities folder on Apple
Software Updates:

Macintosh/Utilities/Disk_Copy

Disk Copy 6.1.3 (or later) is the recommended application to access
all disk images released by Apple.

Important Information:
The documentation included with this software erroneously does not
state that the PowerBook 3400 is not compatible with the Apple Studio
Display.
