My 8.4 gig drive came in yesterday. I had hoped to have it up this last weekend but the FedEx man didn't make it until Monday. I formatted it HFS+ last night and moved my BBS Files areas over. I saved over 200 meg from the older formatting on just those. I started moving AMUG 22 and 2 of the 4 moved over. It will take me a day or two to move the other 5 or so CD's onto the new HD (I wish I had a 12x). After I get that done I have to pull out the old 3.2 and install the new one internally. Maybe by Friday I will have it completely online. I also have to set up each of the user groups to access it.
If you notice it a bit slow going in the evenings you will know that I am copying. When I move the drive internally the system will be down 30-45 minutes. When I get done though you will have fast access to the bbs files library with no "CD Lag". I am anxious to see the total K's of files that will be available.
8.1 seems to be much more stable than 8.0. I have had less restarts the last couple of days, and most of them have been me doing something.
