I am not sure how long but my Mail Server has not been sending out messages to remote sites. I suspect 3 or 4 days.
A special thanks to Kathryn Graehl and John Mullikin who were the first to realize that there was a problem. The internal mail worked the entire time and receiving mail was not a problem.
My apologies but likely if you sent mail out the last few days it did not go. Normally they would have been stored but since the problem as created by my ISP they are likely lost in the void.
My ISP who generally is an all around great company (WorldSpice) had recently had a serious problem. It seems spammers were using his system to rely some particular vile material. After receiving complaints and eventually threats they took action. In this case they began filtering who could send mail. My system was never targetted of course and it actually should have worked seamlessly, since my IP address are in his ranges. He is working on fixing the problem properly but for now I have an alternate server for mail.
IT IS WORKING AGAIN ACCORDING TO MY MAIL LOGS. So you should be able to send mail anywhere assuming you address it correctly. Let me know if you have any additional trouble. Hopefully you can resend any info for the last couple of days. Sorry for the grief, and thanks again to Kathryn who first noticed the problem, and John who verified it.
