I just put a couple of iMac's in at the office (one is on my desk). I am overall very pleased. The missing disk drive isn't much of a problem since we are all on a network. The modem worked straight up with Telefinder although I have sought out optimim settings for it yet. It is fast. I had 7 quicktime movies playing all at once when one of the MIS boys was looking at it.
The only thing I would really complain about is the round mouse. I don't think I am going to get use to it. It is too easy to grab is sideways and if you don't think that is bad try using your mouse sideways sometime. The pointer doesn't track where you think it should. Fortunately MacAlly has a cheapie USB mouse that it shaped conventionally. I don't particularly like the keyboard either. I find it to easy to it a function key instead of the delete. My typos have gone up some but I think I might get used to it. The key touch is excellent.
I put a 64 meg mem chip in each of the two. Not real simple but I used the instructions off of the apple web site and had no real problem. The second one only took 5 minutes and I spent about 15 minutes doing it the first time. I think I am going to like these machines overall and I especially liked putting up two work stations for the price of one Pentium works station especially since they are so fast.
