It's going to be a lot of work for them to put stuff like a Copland interface on something like MacOS 7.7, and it'll just create more hassles for us developer types. What they probably _should_ do is release stuff like QT 2.5, OT 1.5, and stuff like that for Mac OS 7.7...

However, many Copland features would be better left for when they have the proper architecture, since Copland provides a lot of new features with regard to user interface. From what I've seen so far, it's greatly improved, but it will break some stuff.>>>

Well, I don't know that the interface stuff will be all that bad. Apparently that's one of the components they have running on MacOS 7.5.3 pretty successfully already. The same is true of the other stuff. These are not the components that are going to give people headaches, from what I've read. The interface stuff will likely just add an Aaron-like extension that gives you a choice of interface "looks"....hopefully without the problems Aaron is causing, however....I don't see how a program can conflict with as many other programs as it says it does.

The stuff you mentioned putting in the new update is almost 100% likely....I mean, seriously, these are nothing other than system extensions. No problem..
