Any of you guys considering buying one of these new Macs?

The more I think about it, the more I'm pushing towards taking the plunge. Depends on how quickly and how well we can pay off our Christmas-season debts.

I'm especially looking at the 350Mhz system, for a couple of reasons:
1. I've learned from experience and others' experience never to buy the lowest-end model of something. Can you say Performa? Still, this shouldn't be a big factor in this machine, I wouldn't think.
2. The 350Mhz machines have 1 meg of backside cache. This may not seem like a big deal, but if you look at the performance of the old 300 mhz machines compared to the new, you might be suprised to find that the OLD 300Mhz systems are faster. Even considering the 100Mhz main system bus. Why? Because the old G3 have 1Mb backside cache instead of the 512k in the new 300Mhz systems. Still, for $400 difference in price you won't have to wait long to upgrade to a 400Mhz system for that amount of money :)

Maybe that 300Mhz system isn't so bad after all. You could spend the $400 on Ram and come out pretty nicely :)
