1. eMac: The New Mac That Puts Learning First

Built specifically for education, the new eMac offers everything
students, teachers, or administrators have asked us for.

Point-and-click simplicity. A space-saving design. A flat 17-inch
(16-inch viewable) CRT display. Ample (40GB) storage.

Loads of power for digital media. Delivered, you'll note, by a
700MHz PowerPC G4 processor.

And, starting at $999, a price that won't strain education budgets.

Like to try one before the school year runs out? We have them on
hand, so you're welcome to put an eMac through its paces, evaluate
its performance, and see how well it satisfies all of your
educational needs.

2. One PowerBook G4 Plus One 23-Inch Apple Cinema HD Display Equals?

The largest workspace you're likely to enjoy on any portable
computer. With the 1280-by-854 resolution on our new PowerBook G4
and 1920-by-1200 resolution on the Apple Cinema HD Display, you'll
be dazzled by a mega-wide workspace of more than 3.3 million
pixels.

How's that possible? With our Apple DVI to ADC Adapter,* you
can attach any ADC-equipped Apple flat-panel display to our
new PowerBook G4, which now features an integrated DVI port.

But that's not all. The new PowerBook G4 is faster (up to 800MHz),
features 1MB of level 3 cache for even better performance, offers
more storage (up to 60 gigabytes), includes an audio line in port,
and comes with Mac OS X and a full complement of Apple and
third-party software.

* Sold separately.

3. Save $150 and Expand Your View of the World

There's absolutely no substitute for having a vast expanse of
workspace available when editing video in Final Cut Pro,
manipulating images in Photoshop, managing a website in Dreamweaver,
or sweating the details in an Excel spreadsheet.

So here's a great way for you to expand your onscreen real estate:
between now and June 30, 2002, buy

* one of our new PowerBook G4 computers (with a built-in DVI
port)
* a 17-inch Apple Studio Display, 22-inch Apple Cinema Display,
or 23-inch Apple Cinema HD Display
* and a new Apple DVI to ADC Adapter

and you'll save $150 (via a mail-in rebate). Get all the details and
download a copy of the rebate coupon by visiting our website.

4. Get an Edge on the Competition

succeed simply by improving the quality of the business records you

5. New for Mac OS X: Macromedia Studio MX

Chef Emeril Lagasse wouldn't serve you Shrimp Etouffee that didn't
delight; nor would he want you to partake of a less than tasty
website <http://www.emerils.com>.

That's why he reached for the newest set of tools around when he
cooked up www.emerils.com, whipping all of the ingredients of his
site together with Macromedia Studio MX.

Just announced this week and shipping soon, Macromedia Studio MX
includes four powerful design and website management
tools--Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, Macromedia Flash MX, Macromedia
Fireworks MX, and Macromedia FreeHand--all of which take full
advantage of Mac OS X.

6. Technically Speaking

How many websites do you visit daily? How many more than once? Ever
wish there was an easy way for you to open them?

There is. Access them from the Dock--just as you do the other
files, folders, and applications you use frequently.

In fact, you already have the URL for a website in your dock. See
that big @-sign on a spring? One click and you're connected directly
to the Mac OS X website.

What's more, it's incredibly easy to add your own favorite sites to
the Dock. We tell you how in "Mac OS X: How to Add the URL (@) Icon
to the Dock."

7. Tips for Ten: Navigating the Dock

You know Mac OS X puts the icon of each application you open in the
Dock. But did you know you can cycle through those open applications
without taking your nimble fingers from the keyboard?

It's true. Hold down the Command key and press Tab, and Mac OS X
will highlight the icon of the application to the right of the
current app. Without releasing the Command key, press Tab again to go
to the next. When you get to the application you'd like to use,
release the Command key to make it active (or press the "q" key to
quit or the "h" key to hide it).

Overshoot the app you want? Without releasing the Command key, press
the Shift key to go the other way.
