3. Fast, Elegant, Innovative...and Coming Soon
At the Worldwide Developers Conference last week, Apple offered developers a sneak peek of the next major release of Mac OS X.
We code-named it Jaguar.
Scheduled for release late this summer, Jaguar will bring you a series of exciting new features. Take, for example:
* iChat. Instant messaging as it was meant to be, iChat will let you use your mac.com account name as your "handle" and converse with buddies on AOL. * Sherlock 3 will offer a sensational Yellow Pages channel--among others--complete with maps and driving directions. * Address Book. You'll no longer need to search everywhere for your contacts. With the new Address Book you'll have a central repository for all of them, including all your iChat buddies.

4. Already Ready for Jaguar

6. Tips for Ten: the Helpful Dock
The Dock will let you launch and quit applications, open documents, navigate to frequently used folders, load your favorite websites, control iTunes, and keep your desktop uncluttered.
But did you know that you can also use the Dock to see a list of all the documents an application currently has open?
You can. It's as simple as holding down the mouse button. Try it: move your mouse over the icon of one of the active applications in the Dock--preferably one in which you have several documents open--and hold down the mouse button. A list of open documents will appear, and you can point to one you'd like to work on.

7. Technically Speaking
You're winging your way cross country, PowerBook G4 (or iBook) in the tray before you, and one of your favorite DVDs keeping you entertained.
When the flight attendant stops by to serve dinner, wouldn't it be great if you could pause play with a keyboard shortcut instead of pulling up the DVD controller?
You can. In fact, there is a series of keyboard shortcuts you can use while watching DVD movies on your Mac. We describe them in our Knowledge Base article, "DVD Player 3.0: Keyboard Equivalent Controls." Give'em a try.
But you will need Mac OS X v10.1 if you expect to defeat the evil Baron Schtopwatch and his fleet of robot planes, and as you can see from this QuickTime trailer, WingNuts' arcade action really soars.
