CopyPaste 4.2.1 is a shareware utility that improves upon the Mac OS
clipboard, allowing you to easily cut and paste up to 100 items using
the CopyPaste menu, key command, or palette (which displays all 100
clipboards). The CopyPaste palette allows drag-and-drop and other
useful operations between the 100 clipboards and applications. (It was
named MacUser Utility of the Year in 1996 and Shareware Junkies Mac
Program of the Year in 1997.) Version 4.2.1 also includes a few other
new features and minor bug fixes.

AppMaker's view editor and simulator now fully support Apple's
Appearance Manager. Release #10 supports more kinds of controls and
more options, such as bevel buttons; left and right icon buttons;
clock controls; password fields; and Apple's Tab Panels.

The OmniWeb 3.0 Beta 7 release is now available. This version of this
web browser now supports Rhapsody Developer Release 2 on PowerPC and
Intel, as well as OPENSTEP/Mach 4.2 on Intel, SPARC, and NeXT
hardware. The new release also fixes many bugs, and adds some features
such as initial Java and Flash support, and a QuickTime downloader.

[7] QuickTime Tool News: SpriteWorld, Dragonfly Digital Design,
Microspot

SpriteWorld 2.1 is a free update to the SpriteWorld animation library.
It boasts an impressive list of new features, demos, and bug fixes.
Using the SpriteWorld library, Mac OS game programmers can, for
example, easily produce complex sprite-based animation effects with
high frame rates, smooth overlapping, pixel-precise collision
detection, an unlimited size and number of sprites, optional scrolling
and tiled backgrounds, and more.

Dragonfly Digital Design has released a new beta version of
FrameBlenderQT 1.0b3 for the Macintosh. FrameBlender products use
oversampling to increase the quality of still images captured with
video equipment. FrameBlenderQT is a QuickTime Movie Export component
that can be used with Apple's MoviePlayer or any program that supports
QuickTime export components.

Microspot is now offering developers who join their Microspot 3D World
Developer Partner Program access to 3D World 3.0, a completely modular
3D modeling and animation application. Through this program, a
developer may license code which is based on Microspot's 3D World 3.0,
due for release in July 1998.

[8] MRJ SDK 2.0.1 Early Access 4 Posted

The MRJ Software Development Kit (SDK) is a set of Java development
tools for use with the Mac OS Runtime for Java (MRJ), Apple's Java
execution environment. New in MRJ SDK 2.0.1 Early Access 4 (EA4) are
updated versions of the Sun JDK Tools and JBindery. JBbindery's user
interface has been simplified, making it easier to package stand-alone
applications. Also included in this release is a set of MPW scripts
and an MPW tool that gives access to some of the JDK tools. A JManager
2.0 code example called SimpleRunner, derived from the Apple Applet
Runner, is also included.

AppletVIEW Toolkit 1.0 from Nacimiento Software Corporation provides
engineers and software developers with an easy way to interact with
instrumentation systems over the Internet using Java. Using the
AppletVIEW Toolkit, engineers and scientists can create Java applets
as "virtual front panels" to existing instrumentation systems.

SpotCheck 1.1 is a Java editor designed to help Java programmers
produce correct code without relying on confusing and untimely
feedback from a compiler. SpotCheck immediately identifies syntax and
semantic errors normally returned by a compiler. You only need to

Maxum Development Corporation is shipping version 2.1 of Phantom, a
web crawler and search engine. This maintenance upgrade includes

reliability. Users can download a fully functional demo version from

Web Broadcasting is now shipping the WEB FM 4.0 Solutions Distribution
Kit (SDK) for use with FileMaker Pro 4.0 Developer Edition. WEB FM
includes easy-to-use, Internet-standard template files with
context-sensitive [field name] token support. It also supports virtual
hosts, add-on processors, and enhanced record-level security.

FM@iler 1.1 from Web FM is a software suite consisting of an e-mail
logging AppleScript for Emailer 2.0, a backend database application
powered by the FileMaker Pro 3.0 runtime database engine, and a web
server plug-in that provides a searchable web browser interface to
archived email messages on W*API-compatible Mac OS web servers. It is
a useful tool for listmasters or webmasters who quickly need to
automate the archival of online discussion mailing lists with a
searchable web browser interface.
