Why do I always get disconnected from BBS? There are a couple of reasons. 1) You have call waiting on. Next time call with *70 in front of the number (sometimes it is 1170 or 70#...check with your phone company). 2) My BBS has time limits and it automatically disconnect you when that runs out, or you have run out of calls per day. 3) Bad phone lines. Your town has poor phone lines (Millington or the entire State of Arkansas for example) that have line noise. In this case ther isn't much you can do. The Line noise sends gibberish to the other computer or yours and it hangs up not knowing what is happening. Complain to the phone company. They will make sure the line is clean up to your house. From there on it is your baby. 4) Bad Net Connection. You may have a crappy ISP who sells to many accounts for the amount of bandwidth he has available. 5) The System Crashes. Hey, it happens. 6) I may not like you. I purposely sit waiting for you to get on so I can knock you off. (NOT). If you do have frequent problems leave email to the sysop outlining your problem. Make sure you tell him what type of modem and speed, the software you are running and what kind of system, time of day and anything else you think might be useful.
